Obesity index or Basal Metabolic Index (BMI) is the index through which it is determined whether a person falls in the category of Obesity or not. It’s extremely easy to calculate Obesity Index which can be easily done directly through google or any other calculator.

BMI from 18 to 24 is considered normal, i.e., normal weight. BMI less than 18 is considered under-weight. BMI from 25-30 is considered Over weight. BMI from 30-35 is considered Obese level 1 (low risk). BMI from 35-40 is considered Obese level 2 (moderate risk) and BMI greater than or equal to 40 is considered Obese level 3 (high risk) or Morbid Obesity.
