Coronavirus: More people have now died from Covid-19 in Italy than in China

Italy has surpassed China as having the most deaths related to Covid-19, the deadly disease caused by the new coronavirus that has spread to become a global pandemic infecting more than 200,000 people. The Italian government has put the country under lockdown in an effort to contain the virus, but a Chinese medical team in Italy says the measures are not strict enough. The grim milestone for Italy was reached on March 19, 2020, as China announced no new domestic infections for a second consecutive day, and for the first time no new cases inside Hubei province, where the first cluster of cases were detected.
