Last year we ordered our Woodland Mills HM130MAX sawmill last year. The sawmill arrived in January just at the beginning of maple season. When our pallet manufacturer when out of business - I had the bright idea to make our own pallets. Cottonwood, poplar, pine - trees that blow down - we can make pallets! It turns out pallets are easier to find than I had thought.

We were fighting through supply chain issues and I'll be darned if wooden pallets will be a reason we miss any orders. The farm has enough trees that fall down from wind damage every year to meet our pallet demand. There is also plenty of species suitable for pallet wood. As a bonus, dad can harvest trees for his cutting boards and we will have lumber available for building projects.
