My visit to Grand Mosque of Bursa Türkiye.
Ulu Cami as known locally, is one mosque steeped in history & culture. Its construction & the 20-dome roofing structure hold historical significance to the Sultan then. Within its sacred halls, the finest craftsmanship is on full display—the exquisite 3-tiered central fountain, the breathtaking mihrab adorned with a 3-D muqarnas canopy, and the towering wooden minbar, remarkably assembled without the use of nails. Adding to its grandeur, the mosque is adorned with a vast array of intricate and elegant Ottoman calligraphy, gracing its walls like a living museum of Islamic art. A true “calligraphy museum”—I am utterly captivated.
