*In this video, we tested 3 different methods for preventing hydration on MDF structures during a resin "dirty pour" to see which one worked best:*

*1st MDF Structure:*
We poured the resin directly onto the MDF without doing anything else. This was our baseline to see how the resin would react to hydration naturally without any intervention.

*2nd MDF Structure:*
For this structure, we applied heat with a blowtorch after pouring the resin. The heat helped to remove bubbles, but it wasn’t enough to fully prevent moisture from affecting the surface.

*3rd MDF Structure:*
This structure got the VIP treatment! We blowtorched the resin to remove bubbles, and we also placed a filament bulb lamp near the structure to keep the area warm and moisture-free. The additional warmth helped ensure that the resin stayed glossy, free from hydration, and cured perfectly.

By the end of the test, the 3rd structure was the most successful — it had a beautiful, glossy finish with no hydration issues!
