Marc Noble returns to Piston Recordings with the superb Dandelion which follows his last effort - Fundamentals EP. For Marc, DJing is something he always took seriously and was a skill he nurtured whilst at high school. The climax of his career was getting in an Aperipulp event line-up. After University with a business degree firmly under his belt, he notched up yet another academic qualification pursuing his love for music at the Nut Academy in Naples with a diploma as an electronic music producer and sound designer. On the production front, he injects his unique style, crafted from years behind the decks, with solid results on every release. Great to see him back at PR.

Original Mix opens the release with a fresh, lively groove that will get the dancing feet moving. Nice and chunky beats are joined by crispy percussions and rhythmic drums. On the low end, a smooth, warm plucky bass delivers the goods as infectious chords fill out the mid-section. Hi strings add a classic vibe alongside some cool keys and spoken vocal. Deephope returns to Piston with a top-notch remix which follows his last outing here with, Hideout EP. David has released his works on many labels, and this is where his experience comes through. He is currently the owner and label manager at Deep Clicks Music and it’s always a pleasure to see him back at Piston. On the remix here, David mellows out the groove with a wonderfully rich, warming vibe throughout. Solid beats and rhythmic percs lay the foundation for that groovy vibe which is filled with deep chords, feisty stabs and the original spoken vocal. One of Piston’s long-time friends returns with another sublime remix. Luis Bravo delights once more, bringing his unique brand of deep house grooves to the release. He’s a highly gifted and diverse artist, and he’s enjoyed a raft of releases on a host of labels over the years and he continues to inspire with each new creation. Here, he does not disappoint, bringing in an ultra-smooth vibe stacked with tight beats and infectious percussions. The chords are elongated for maximum impact, leaving a trail of warmth and nostalgia in their wake while the bassline keeps us locked on for the duration. A fantastic interpretation that is not to be missed.
