Active Leg Stretch | 15 Minute Yoga for Sore Quads, Hamstrings, + Hips | Running & Leg Day Recovery
Welcome to a 15 minute active legs yoga session for your sore legs. This practice includes active stretches for after a leg day or run, any of those days when your legs feel tight and are in need of a big stretch. This is a really common feeling I have after running, leg day, or even a cardio workout! Quads, glutes, and hamstrings tend to get particularly sore from strength training that includes lunges and squats. High impact cardio that involves running or jumping, or even long periods of walking or hiking, can also be rough on the calf muscles, feet, and ankles. This is a complilation of some of my favorite yoga stretches to get into those muscles to aid in recovery.
Runners, hikers, strength trainers, weight lifters, and athletes: make the most of your rest day and be sure you are incorporating yoga into your routine so you can recover!
Poses include: cat and cow, table top calf stretch, downard dog, 3 legged dog, low lunge, simple/easy twist, triangle pose, balancing quad stretch, wide leg forward fold, and malasana or yogi squat.

I want to get you out of the mindset that we don’t have time for yoga. I want to get some of you out of the mindset that you’re not strong enough, or flexible enough to do yoga. Yoga is for EVERYONE and I want to empower you to find shapes on your mat that work for you, so you can do yoga at home every single day.
We all have a few minutes to spare every day, and the best way to stick with something like a daily yoga practice is through consistency. I hope that by providing this 15 minute flow and other even shorter bite-sized practices you can use it as a foundation for a daily habit.
