Hello everyone! 🎉 I’m excited to present my Baked Modak recipe today! This healthier version of the traditional modak is perfect for your festive celebrations. 🙏 Find out how easy it is to make these delicious and nutritious modaks without the need for frying. 🌿

Recipe

INGREDIENTS FOR THE COVER:
Refined flour 1 cup
Powdered sugar 2 tbsp
Salt ¼ tsp

INGREDIENTS FOR THE STUFFING:
Desiccated coconut 1 cup
Cardamom powder ¼ tsp

METHOD:
Chilled butter ¼ cup
Baking powder ⅛ tsp
Cold milk as required
Almond and pistachio flakes 2 tbsp
Condensed milk 2 tbsp
Icing sugar 1 tsp
1) To prepare the cover, combine the refined flour, chilled butter, salt, powdered sugar
and baking powder. Mix gently with your fingertips until the mixture resembles
bread crumbs. Gradually add cold milk and bind the mixture into a dough. Keep it
covered in fridge till use.
2) To prepare the stuffing, combine the desiccated coconut, cardamom powder,
almond and pistachio flakes and condensed milk. Mix until the ingredients bind
together.
3) To shape the modak, take one portion of the dough and flatten it on your palm.
Place one portion of the stuffing mixture in the center. Carefully cover the stuffing
with the dough and shape it into a smooth ball.
4) To create the traditional modak shape, place the ball in a modak mold and press
gently. Repeat the process for the remaining portions.
5) To bake the modak, preheat your oven to 180°C. Arrange the modaks on a baking
tray and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
6) Sprinkle some icing sugar over the golden baked modak
