This humane society, or "dog kennel," had a septic system fail after just seven years. We examined the dosing tank pump run times closely to determine that the septic system was being hydraulically overloaded. Further research revealed that this extra water was being added to the septic system from the outdoor dog runs. This mainly happened after a rain. That issue has since been resolved. In 2024, we designed a new septic system for them, consisting of three large Presby mound systems. This new system utilized ten SludgeHammer S-86 aerobic bacteria generators to clean the water. The design also includes rejuvenating the failed mound system using the Sludgehammer-treated water. One of the dosing tank pumps now pumps water out to that failed mound.
