Hilti’s Active Torque Control (ATC) has been the industry standard for safety and performance in large combihammers. We have now brought that technology to cordless drills.

We developed a demonstration to simulate what happens to cordless drills when the user experiences a sudden stoppage, such as when an insert bit binds up in an application.

When the brake is applied, all of the spindles will stop at the same time. You will notice that the competitive units over-rotate which could lead to worker injuries. The Hilti SF 6H-A22 with ATC rotates less than a ¼ of a turn and then shuts off. To reset the tool after the ATC actuates, the user simply needs to release the trigger and then squeeze the trigger again to continue to drill.
