Ahead of WWE Summerslam, WWE held Talent Tryouts. These were two-day tryouts in which athletes had the chance to impress scouts such as Triple H, Matt Bloom, William Regal and Samoa Joe to see if they could get signed to the Performance Center. After the tryouts, Triple H spoke to the media about the tryouts, NXT's new direction and what WWE is really looking for when they sign people.
