Solo Outdoor Adventure | Hiking, Exploring Backroads & Cooking

In this video we'll be hiking, exploring the backcountry and enjoying the outdoors. It's all about experiencing the outdoors, if by foot or by car.

Driving down to the southern tip of Kroppejfjäll in Dalsland, Sweden. There we'll be exploring a cluster of different nature reserves and backroads leading into the wilderness. The first hike leads us into Oxeklev nature reserve, which turned out to be a beautiful hike through the old forests of Kroppefjäll.

When we get back to the car it's time for some backroad exploration (overlanding) to find roads that leads us into the wilderness. Finding places where you can be alone and enjoy the outdoors in tranquility.

Most of the roads into the wild here in Sweden are private and gated. The adventure is finding a road that isn't, which allows us to get into the wild. We'll be searching in a 2006 Subaru Forester SG. In this case we run into gate after gate. But determined to find something we continue our search since we want a quiet, secluded place to cook our lunch.

After lunch we hike into Buxåsen nature reserve for the second hike of the day. There we find some truly stunning wilderness and a great view at the other end of the reserve. Since we are getting close to winter (filmed in November) the days are getting shorter, so I have to hike back to the car before it gets completely dark.

Back at the car we make a cup of coffee and discuss my gas stove before starting the drive home.
