Product Spotlight: Midwest Industries Lever Action Upgrades

Описание к видео Product Spotlight: Midwest Industries Lever Action Upgrades

The lever gun fraternity is polarized about them. Some folks hate the Midwest Industries tactical handguards and accessories for Marlin and Henry lever action rifles, and some folks love 'em. Brownells Gun Tech™ Caleb Savant is joined by special guest Troy Storch from Midwest Industries, who tells us more about these products. It started with hog hunting.... Troy and his MI colleagues liked to take breaks from AR-15 World and head up to the UP of Michigan to hunt hogs with lever actions. They started realizing they needed to mount some accessories on those guns. One thing led to another, and Troy worked up prototypes - and took some razzing from the other guys in the shop! The M-LOK® handguards came first. Then folks started mounting sound suppressors on lever actions. When you put a can on a rifle, you need "suppressor-height" sights. Troy and the Midwest crew got on it. Unlike the AR-15, lever action ammunition comes in a wide variety of velocities, adding an extra challenge to designing the sights. Troy explains their solution.

Folks still use lever action rifles as working guns out West and in Alaska, and a lever gun is still an excellent choice for home defense gun, as well. Many of these lever gun users find the MI upgrades super practical and helpful. How far can you go in modernizing a lever action? Take a look at the fully tricked out "demonstrator" custom gun Troy brought! Hints: adjustable stock, full-length Picatinny top rail, scope, Surefire light, a Steiner laser sight, AND of course, a suppressor.
