Hundreds of junior teachers from across Odisha gathered at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar to demand the regularisation of their jobs. They alleged that despite years of service, their positions remain contractual, without job security or benefits. The teachers warned of a state-wide protest if their demands are not met. They also recalled the previous BJD government’s promise to abolish contractual jobs, which excluded junior teachers.
