Six different quads, six different flights

Описание к видео Six different quads, six different flights

I apologize for the darkness of the video. It really was not very bright day and I flew the potato pretty late. My Zorro was out of commission for a while so I had not been able to fly very much but I got my new Boxer and was testing it out on some of my quads today. This is the video where I flew a pack moving from one quad to another just to get the feel of my new transmitter. I took to the boxer right away. It's just a great fit for me and the size of my hands. I agree with everyone that the bush buttons on the arm switch is meh, however, I use a logical switch anyway and need a regular toggle switch to arm so either will disarm the quad so I think at least that part is sorted.

About the quads:

Fractal 75 Pro Build (FC: X12 on 2S) (TinyWhoop Ultra Wide Pinch) (PowerRCin 1002 14000kv) (Ducts from a BetaFPV Meteor75) (RunCam Thumb 4k Pro Wide powered by battery balance lead and BEC)

Bassline (totally stock, doesn't fly very well right now, needs to be tuned after I moved it to BF 4.4.3, probably put Quicksilver on it ASAP)

Mobula 8
Right now my favorite backyard ripper, this is a replacement from my first one, first day motor #4 ESC went out. Took my X12 out of an older Mobula 7 and it turns out that one has a week ELRS RX in it and I don't get very far before it starts to lose signal.

RotorRiot Skylite
This is a pretty fun little 3" ripper. I have the ducts but I only put those on when I need to use it to get a quad out of a tree, which I have done. (   • 202210 Stuck in Tree  )
I have modified this one a bit, one of the few quads I've broken an arm on. I put on T-Motor F2203.5 2850kv motors and run it on 6s. With a 1100mAh battery gives me a good 7min flight time and even 6min when ripping it pretty hard. It can carry a GoPro and to keep the weight down I use my Session 5 which I have to power from my battery lead because the internal battery is dead.

RotoRiot H1
This was my first real quad. I've had it for a couple years now and I really didn't learn how to fly this well until I got into whoops. Whoops gave me the acro flying I needed to make this one really fun. I love how this can seem to just hang weightless in the air but anyone that flies 5" knows what I mean. It's pretty much stock other than I swapped out from frysky to ELRS way back when ERLS became a thing. I almost always run my older GoPro Hero7 on it. Like today the video footage sucked because of the lighting and I should have put it on flat color mode and did more work in post processing but usually I fly on nice sunny days and it's just easier to throw it in GoPro color mode.

DJI FPV
"The Potato" as everyone likes to call it. I probably would never get it today but this was my first FPV quad and to be honest, it is what got me hooked. I got my H1 after and it was just frustrating at first and I can see why people would want to just give up on it. This quad is actually quite amazing for what it is. It's much harder to freestyle and not really that fun to just whip around. However, on windy days, when I just want to cruise, this is my pick. It has this awesome hold feature...it could be 35mph wind and I can hit the break button (yes, there a button to just pause it where ever it is). In fact, the first part of the video I lift off, turn it towards me, take my goggles off and take a photo of it. I can easily go a mile out without it even thinking of starting to lose video signal. It can run up to 20 min but usually I get about 15 minutes off a battery. The ability to tilt the camera down to get arial shots is super useful. I'm careful when I fly though because I know if I crash it's probably done for.
