Whilst shielding I experienced a permanent low level of
anxiety that I couldn’t quite put my finger on and was unable
to deal with by taking action to reassert a measure of control
over my circumstances. This was interspersed with periods of
lethargy.
I have turned this experience into choreographic rules of
engagement to express the embodiment of these feelings
through movement. The notation for the choreography is
created with marks that seek to express the physical feelings
in drawn form. These marks are then incorporated into
choreographic dice which are used by participants to convert
the drawings back into physical expression by focussing on
their inner reaction and responding visibly in the body.
