Tough Mudder Manchester - Heaton Park, 10km - 22 October 2022

Tough Mudder returns to Heaton Park for the first time for a few years - 2019 (?) I think was the last time and its defintiely "grown up" since then. The "urban" tag has been removed this year allowing tough mudder to add more water obstacles - and boy, Heaton Park did not disappoint with Augustus Gloop, Electric Eel, Hydrophobia, Tipping point and arctic enema all found on course.

Unlike the two other "urban" events (Finsbury park and Morden park) Heaton Park has a great mix of trail and some hills - ok, not massive hills, but TM really made the most of the undulations within the park.

The course was a lot of fun, and dare I say it, was so much better than both other park events and also Tough Mudder South West.

The Manchester weather made for a nice muddy course (again, usually lacking from the urban events) and defintely takes the title of muddiest course - at least for 2022

Definitely a fun finale to the UK season AND a welcome return to the TM UK calendar.
