🍜 Skillet Instant Noodles with Egg, Meat & Veggies

🧂 Ingredients
1 egg

3.5 oz (100g) cooked, seasoned meat (e.g., beef, chicken, sausage)

3.5 oz (100g) ham or bologna

5 slices of ripe tomato

1 tbsp peas

1 tbsp sweet corn

1 packet seasoning (from instant noodles)

1 tbsp tomato sauce

Water (enough to cover ingredients and later to hydrate noodles)

Cabbage (cut into thin strips, to taste)

6 oz (170g) instant noodles (or substitute with rotini/penny)

Chives, finely chopped (to taste)

🍳 Instructions
Fry the Egg
In a skillet, crack the egg and let it fry undisturbed until the bottom browns and crisps. Slide it to one side of the pan to make space.

Add Meats
Add the cooked seasoned meat and the ham/bologna into the skillet with the egg.

Add Vegetables and Seasoning

Add tomato slices, peas, corn.

Sprinkle in the instant noodle seasoning packet.

Stir in the tomato sauce.

Add enough water to just cover all ingredients.

Simmer
Cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes, until the tomatoes soften and the mixture becomes saucy and flavorful.

Add Cabbage
Stir in thinly sliced cabbage. Let it cook for about 4 minutes, until tender and well blended.

Cook the Noodles

Place the instant noodles in the center.

Pour sauce over the noodles to help them hydrate.

Add a bit more water if necessary, just enough to cover the noodles.

Cook until noodles are soft, stirring occasionally so they cook evenly.

Reduce Sauce
Let the sauce reduce and thicken, coating the noodles.

Finish with Chives
Sprinkle finely chopped chives over the top. Mix gently to blend flavors and release aroma.

📝 Tips & Variations
Swap instant noodles for rotini or penne for a more traditional pasta base.

Add cheese, hot sauce, or soy sauce for extra flavor.

Use leftover meats for an easy fridge-clean-out meal.
