Overview of Trichomes, Cannabinoids, Terpenes and Flavonoids in Cannabis

Trichomes- Small crystal like structures that produce the cannabiniods and terpenes

Cannabinoids- THC and CBD (and many others)

Terpenes- Volatile aromatic oils that impact the flavor, aroma and effects

Flavonoids- Primarily provide coloration (pigments) to the plant to help attract pollinators and offer protection from damaging UV-light
