Tamil Nadu Police Arrests 7 AIADMK MLAs In Graft Case, Velumani Raided By DVAC

Seven AIADMK MLAs and countless supporters were held by the Tamil Nadu Police for demonstrating against the search outside the Coimbatore residence of former state minister SP Velumani. The DVAC is investigating former Municipal Administration Minister SP Velumani for allegedly defrauding the exchequer of Rs 500 crore between 2015 and 2018 while replacing old street lights with LED lights. The raids are being carried out as a result of the complaints.
The former AIADMK ministers Vijayabaskar and SP Velumani's homes and offices were raided by the Department of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC). In Tamil Nadu, 26 locations connected to SP Velumani and Vijayabaskar are the targets of raids.
