ULTIMATE Mechanical LEGO Bowling Alley | Brickvention 2018

A working mechanical bowling machine that features a pinsetter, ball return, rails (bumpers), sweeper, lights and sounds. The pins are attached to thread as a method of resetting themselves. This is a fast and reliable technique for pin-setting. The ball return is a simple ramp which is used after the balls activate a mechanical sensor. The sweeper is purely for aesthetics, but may also be used in mechanical operation to sweep the ball. The sound produced is by a 'LEGO Sound Element (9V)'. The bumper rails are also controlled mechanically by two buttons within the base.

This creation, along with the Hash Brown McDonald's Vending (See previous video), was exhibited at Brickvention 2018 on the 20th and 21st of January. The machine was operated by the public and was designed to be durable to sustain the turns in play of 25,000 people.
