WALKS IN HAMPSHIRE at MOTTISFONT (& DUNBRIDGE)

This is another video in my series “Walks in Hampshire” accompanied by my Whippet (Logan). In this episode I undertake a 3.5 mile circular route around the Mottisfont Estate. The village of Mottisfont is located between Romsey & Stockbridge in Hampshire and I am following a walk that appears in a book called “Hampshire & The New Forest – A Dog walker's Guide” by Vicky Fletcher.

I parked my car at the National Trust car park at Spearywell Wood & head west into some beautiful woodland which is full of foxgloves. My route then takes me South along footpaths through fields of crops with stunning views of nearby meadows. After crossing (underneath) the railway line, I follow the banks of the River Dunn to the village of Dunbridge before heading North East to Mottisfont where I get to explore the pretty Millenium orchard and the outskirts of Mottisfont House.

It was a really enjoyable walk that started off in atmospheric misty conditions before the sun came out in full. Highlight of the walk was coming across a magnificent Roe Buck (Deer) that ran two circuits of a field that I was passing through – I was able to capture it all on a zoom lens.

I use a GOPRO HERO 7 Black Action Camera (and a Gimbal) together with a Canon SX 400IS. In this video, I used a Nikon D3500 with a 70-300mm zoom lense to capture the pictures of the deer.
