CHAPTER 3: CENTRES OF ANCIENT CIVILIZATION IN NIGERIA

Through the works of the archaeologists, we have been able to know some of the places where early man lived in some parts of Nigeria in the very remote past. Some of these places where man lived in Nigeria include: Nok, Igbo-Ukwu, Ife, Benin and a host of others. They are usually referred to as centres of ancient civilization. In this chapter, we shall discuss of these centres which present us with the scientific and technological developments of the early Nigerian societies.
