Trahana Soup WIth Halloumi Traditional Greek Cypriot Recipe | ggmix

Trahana soup is a traditional Greek Cypriot speciality. It is made from wheat cooked in fermented goat and sheep yogurt which is then shaped and left to dry out in the sun for a few days.

In this recipe I show you how to make the traditional village version of trahana with shop bought trahana and chunks of halloumi. This is a really easy recipe there is not much to apart from a little soaking and stirring but the end result in a warm comforting bowl that that will take you back to the villages of Cyprus.
