A Day in the Life of a 17 Month Old | Little Helper, Activities, Puzzles, Personality

At 17 months old, Katelyn's personality was really starting to shine through. Being silly was a favorite of hers (and still is). She was also becoming a great little helper around the house, was sharpening her fine motor skills (using utensils, doing puzzles, opening containers, scooping and pouring, etc), and improving her gross motor skills.

She was showing an interest in matching 2D to 2D and 2D to 3D objects, reading books, playing at the park (particularly in the sand box), pretend play, and making up games of her own.

Language development was at the forefront for her - and she was constantly learning new words. When she didn't know a word, she'd be sure to ask us what it was by pointing and grunting.

This is such a fun stage in parenting. I hope you enjoy this snapshot into what a typical day was like for us when our eldest daughter was 17 months old.
