Another long fight, even a two-parter here lol but that may also bc I’m handicapping myself yet again in this fight lmao oh welp.. apologies in advance though for the long and probably boring video lol

In this fight we’re up against, well it’s still Ulti, but she’s junctioned herself unto Griever (the GF that oddly only she can use and flex about, but okay…), hence Junction Griever is our enemy lol

These recent 3 fights are kinda similar to one another istg.. So anyway, Ulti is accompanied by an Irvine manikin this time around.

Irvine will only do a rotation of his LD (Alternative Shot, instant turn) directly followed by Dark Shot (AoE Brv + split HP) and then Hyper Shot (ST Brv + HP with 50% splash).

While Ulti herself has 2 phase, kinda mirroring her final battle in FFVIII where she summons Griever. She will go into phase 2 (full health and all) once she drops under 30% HP the first time around. The second phase has more HP attack and so generally a bit more dangerous than the first, but nothing too crazy across the board either lol

One more thing to note though, is her turn-warping and getting 3 turns in a row when crossing certain HP thresholds. Not only that, she’ll also gain HP dmg immunity right after until ALL enemies present in the field gets delayed (doesn’t matter by how many turns), so you’ll really wanna prepare yourself for this part. In Phase 1, this happens at 80% HP threshold, while in Phase 2, 30% HP threshold is where it’s at. Keep these in mind.

Enemy’s Force Gauge thresholds and effects this time are :
40% : Brv and HP dmg up
60% : Turn rate up
Only Griever has stuffs to do with Force in this stage, unlike the Eye last fight.

Force Ability is Meteor++, a guaranteed hit AoE Brv + HP. Nothing lethal.

Force Time will last for 6 enemy turns, and will have your turn deleted when enemies use AoE attacks on you. Honestly I’m not too sure about this bc I was too panicked mid-battle that I couldn’t pay any attention to this shite lmao but I think this is correct though ? Lmk if I’m dead wrong aye lol

To freeze, use Wind Magic FR ability, which is Sabin’s, or other Magic FR enchanted by wind, but Force mechanic’s not too big a deal this time around so whatever.

So due to the similarity as the last fight I thought “Hey maybe I can just use the same strat again lol ??”… and, well, I could, but it’s just the difficult way around lol there definitely are other easier routes lol

Thancred is making a comeback for now bc I can carry him lol can’t wait for his rework honestly.. but yea he’s here to chip away at enemy health and utilises the free turns. He is to be swapped again though, by a friend Kam lol

Luna again with the splendid support she can put onto the table. She super charges the FR gauge and can hold her own in terms of damage as well.

Grandpa Galuf also for protecting everyone from most attacks barring AoE ones (even then they’re not that lethal so no worries..) so that we won’t need too many HP dmg mitigation calls.

Welp, again sorry for the long watch. Made some stupid and questionable decisions mid-fight as well but all’s well that ends well I suppose lol. Hope this helps or at least entertain you, and don’t forget to have fun ! :]
