Building a road, cutting down trees, and pulling stumps. Just another Saturday on the homestead!

Now that we have the steep slope to the north of our shop cleared, it is time to tackle the south side. We want to clear about 100 feet all the way around the shop to avoid having trees fall on the shop in the future, and to better protect our shop in the case of a wildfire. Because the south side of our shop is so much flatter, it allows us to use the backhoe to do much of the heavy lifting for us.

We are a husband and wife team that loves to take on hard projects. We finished our bus project after 2 years of hard work, traveled North America for 2 years and are now working on our dream property in North Idaho! Come join us as we document our journey.
