Hi everyone, I had the pleasure and the blessing of recording with Tara Nowell who is in this week's podcast and she shares about her struggle with alcoholism and her testimony is profoundly moving. There's something about when people share about alcoholism and their journey to healing and that acceptance and the honesty from which they share about their struggle that is so inviting.

and freeing, I think for everyone who listens for us to look within ourselves and the realities of where we're at and what we struggle and grapple with and to bring it all to the Lord and to let God do the transformative work that only God can do. Because Tara shares about how she struggled for many years with alcohol and how really her heart became very guarded and even stone -like and she pulled away not only from God who she believed in, but she just wanted to leave her alone.

but also those who love her most and who she loves most. But yet by the power and the goodness and the personal touch of the Holy Spirit in a moment, she said yes and went to Cenocolo a healing community in Florida that is founded really in the charism of St. Maria Goretti I believe the house she went to is named after St. Maria and Mother Alvira started this program and Tara went and God worked the miracle that only God can do.
