A Flint City Council meeting descended into chaos on Monday evening as a physical altercation broke out in the council chambers.

The incident occurred around 7:50 p.m., shortly after the council had concluded the public comment section and was set to vote on the city's budget.

The meeting ended without a budget being passed, despite a looming deadline. According to the city charter, the council is now in violation for failing to pass a balanced budget.
