I used SuperCollider and a MIDI controller to dynamically generate and manipulate sample-based soundscapes, in order to create a sound environment for the interpretation of a poem of mine. My goal is to rebuild the lost, deep, connections between poetry and music, which originate both from the same source.
Just as a compositor, a poet treats and organises sounds following the rules of a given language. I think that poetry needs to re-focus on the timbres and the sounds of its materials.
