China says the so-called debt trap in Africa is a narrative trap. On Wednesday, Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang denied the unfounded assertion that China is creating a "debt trap" in Africa, stating that the so-called "debt trap" is a narrative trap that has been forced upon both China and Africa. A major obstacle to Africa's prosperity and revitalization, according to Qin, who spoke at a press conference alongside the chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat, is a lack of funding. Although African nations have been actively working to promote economic and social development, Qin stressed that this is a major roadblock. He highlighted that all nations must confront the challenge of balancing development financing with debt expansion head-on in order to pursue development.
