Have You Tried Glen And Friends Spaghetti Aquitania

1/2 pound (230 g) of spaghetti cooked
2 eggs
1/2 cup (125 ml) of breadcrumbs mixed with 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of butter slightly beaten
1 cup (250 ml) diced carrots
1 cup (250 ml) cottage cheese
3/4 cup (175 ml) heavy cream
2 tablespoons (30 ml) parsley or green pepper for colour
1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt or to taste
2 tablespoons (30 ml) grated or finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons (30 ml) pimiento

Mix all ingredients while the spaghetti is cooking. Add the pasta to the wet ingredients. Pour the mixture into a buttered loaf pan and bake in a 400℉ (200℃) oven for 45 minutes or until the outside appears to be a nice golden colour.

I did mine on 350℉ but found it would have been more golden on a higher temperature. the original recipe said to bake in a moderate oven but no mention of the exact temperature from the year 1940. Interesting!

None the less, this recipe from 1940 certainly deserves a thumbs up from me! I really enjoyed this old style pasta recipe and will definitely try this again! The next time, I will add different ingredients and share the experience with you all!

I would love to hear from you on what your experience was like. Please leave a message in the comments section.

As always, have fun and enjoy!
