I played the Siel Mono partly with reverb effects from a Lexicon MPX 500 and delay effects from a Korg SDD-3000. But no chorus, phaser or other effects involved.

The SIEL MONO is a monophonic analog synth made in Italy. It's the only one mono synth from Siel (hence the name?). It has 10 presets (trumpet, flute, violin, you get the idea), but apart from that it's fully programmable. I has one oscillator, a filter with switchable LOWPASS / BANDPASS / HIGHPASS modes - and the best of all - all modes are combinable! 1 LFO (frequency can go very high), noise generator (white noise). It has a built in CHORUS effect, called "Animator". Very nice portamento effect, reminiscent of ARP Pro DGX and Minimoog (the portamento effect, not the synth). Surprisingly meaty, powerful basic sound. A clearly cutdown version of the Siel Mono is featured in the Siel Cruise.
My conclusion: Interesting synth, but very confusing and annoying to program. Parameters, which should belong to a certain section, are spread all over the place. A solution could be, to replace the switch/slider caps with color coded ARP-style caps (red for filter, blue for oscillator, green for LFO and so on). Editing will be a lot easier.
