Coffee first, then the morning to-do list begins.

That is the mantra of Prestige Inhome Care’s own Zoe, who you will find both out in the community caring for clients as well as in the office helping people calling through for assistance.

“Zoe, is that you?,” Zoe laughs, as she surprises clients at the other end of the phone. “Yes, it’s me!”

At Prestige Inhome Care, Zoe has two important roles.

“Three days a week I am in the community as a Personal Care worker, going around to clients homes and taking them out into the community,” said Zoe. “Then two days a week I am in the office as a customer services advisor, so answering the calls to carers and clients.”

Like many who have young children, Zoe’s morning consists of ensuring everyone is organised and ready for the day.

“As soon as I wake up its coffee straightaway,” said Zoe. “Then it’s fifty thousand million miles an hour from there trying to get them ready and out, trying to get myself ready and out. To school and to work.”

Today, Zoe has found enjoyment in her roles at Prestige Inhome Care. However prior to children, Zoe’s career was caring for young children.

“I was working in Childcare but coming home to two small children after being with children all day was difficult,” Zoe smiled. “I thought I needed a change but I’ve always wanted to do something that is in a caring kind of industry.”

Zoe found herself talking to a friend who was working as a home carer at Prestige Inhome Care.

“I had thought about working in aged care before,” said Zoe. “And she absolutely loved it.”

“My grandparents are in the UK and I really miss that interaction. So I signed up for the course and I’ve never looked back.”

Today, Zoe is a passionate member of the Prestige Inhome Care team, everyday working to deliver the high quality of service and friendly support that the team has become known for.

“I get just as much from my clients as they do from me. You end up feeling really fulfilled. It’s a really fulfilling job,” said Zoe.

“It’s not about you. It’s about them.”
