Obacchama-kun 「 おぼっちゃまくん 」 Ending 6 - GO! GO! ハマちゃま [COUNT IT OFF]

Let me tell you about this small rabbit hole I found out about.

So there's an anime series called Obacchama-kun, based on a manga ran in the magazine CoroCoro (you might know it for being the magazine that runs Doraemon and Mario-kun). From the few bits I've seen, it seems to be about the daily antics of a goofy-looking rich kid. He reminds me of Goemon for some reason, maybe it's the eyes?

Of course, any Western anime fan like myself would have zero idea about this one. However, what does make it interesting is that MC Hammer, the Hammerman himself, had some attachment to this. His song "Count It Off" was actually used as the 6th ending for Obacchama-kun. It's such a bizarre thing for MC Hammer to be involved with, but maybe the paycheck was good?

My first exposure to this was through Twitter. However, the video in the original tweet was in very low quality (on top of VHS lines). I tried looking for this on YouTube, but all I could find were the other Obacchama-kun endings. So I looked up the series on Niconico and found a compilation of all the openings and endings, including this one.

This ending wasn't included on any home video releases, most likely due to copyright issues. As an act of preservation and to make it easier to find MC Hammer's first (and last) anime gig, I'm posting it here.

TL;DR: MC Hammer's song "Count It Off" was used in a kid's anime, learned about it through Twitter, couldn't find it on YouTube, found it on Niconico in better quality and reuploaded here for others to enjoy.
