Being one of the two main operators in the city it's no surprise that Preston Bus have a large fleet of buses and a good mix as well, comprising of Optare Solos along with numerous Scania and Volvo single and double deckers there's stuff there to interest many enthusiasts. Among the various vehicles is this former Wessex Connect Scania N230UD/Omnicity, new as 40030/YT61FEX it later gained the plate of BU52UWE to spell 'Bus 2 UWE, the UWE meaning the University of the West of England, with Rotala no longer operating in the area the bus is at Preston Bus but retains the special plate, it's recorded working a 100 from Farringdon Park to Larches via Preston Bus Station and given I'm not too much of a fan of these I found it to be a decent example.
