Dear ex,
As I sit here and listen to the lyrics of this song that I wrote before our break up (funnily which wasn't even written for you; A song that I actually made conceiving a character's emotions for a short movie), I can't help but feel the pain and love that went into it as if the words were written for us, describing our relationship in its entirety. It hurts me to think that maybe my efforts were not enough, that I wasn't enough for you.
And now, as I stand in front of the mirror, I talk to myself and try to burn down the grudges that I hold towards you. I want to let go of the pain and move on, but it's hard when I think of all the love and trust that I had in me and moreover in you; but you broke that and left me with me with nothing.
This song now holds a deeper meaning for me.
I wish you had talked about few things more, instead of letting them fester until they poisoned our love.
