In US news and current events today, it has been one year since the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting hit the Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh community and shook the nation. The mass shooting was the most violent act of anti-Semitism in U.S. history, and a year later this member of the Tree of Life community and many other Jewish people are calling for an end to gun violence, active shooters, and all forms of hatred.
