Andy Lonergan EXCLUSIVE: "Best season of my life by far" | Keeper on memorable year at Liverpool

In July 2019, Andy Lonergan was handed a trial at Liverpool ahead of the club’s US pre-season tour, before signing permanently for the Reds.

Having finished the 2018/19 season with Rochdale, Jurgen Klopp, following the advice of goalkeeping coach John Achterberg, brought in the former Preston North End, Bolton and Leeds goalkeeper.

In conversation with Theo Squires, Lonergan looks back on his year at Anfield being part of the squad that won the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and Premier League.
