In Kashmir police foiled a Pulwama type terror attack and averted a major tragedy. Car laden with explosives was blasted by the bomb disposal squad in Kashmir on Thursday. The terror attack was foiled after security forces intercepted a santro car fitted with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in South Kashmir's Pulwama district. The attacker jumped two check points before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing from the spot. A 45 Kgs explosive concealed in a drum inside the car with a fake number plate was meant to target security forces convoy or some defence installation. Police say there were specific inputs about a terror attack of this nature. Police have started the investigation.
