In a powerful intervention, the 91-year-old father of Air India 171 Captain Sumeet Sabharwal has written to the Modi government demanding justice for his late son. Battling illness himself, he dismisses the “suicide mission” rumours as cruel and baseless—calling out sections of the Western media for linking Capt. Sumeet’s divorce and his wife’s death to questions over his mental health.

In his six-page letter, accessed exclusively by Mojo Story, he slams the probe panel’s handling of the crash investigation and demands a fresh inquiry—warning that he will move court if the government fails to act.

👉 In a separate email to the Federation of Indian Pilots, the grieving father makes a shocking revelation: two members of the probe panel came to his home, urging him to accept a theory that Capt. Sumeet deliberately moved the fuel switches. He calls this “professionally indefensible” and an attempt to steer the narrative.

The pilot community now raises a bigger question: Is there a deliberate attempt to blame the pilots while giving Boeing, Honeywell & GE a clean chit? Many call it “shocking harassment.”
