Mallorca, Port de Sóller: Hotel Es Port Saturday 30th September 2023 until Sunday 8th October 2023.

At then end of September 2023, we set off from Birmingham Airport on a Jet2 Holidays break to Port de Sóller on the Ballearic island of Mallorca.
We always fly with Jet2 and, wherever possible, we make it a package holiday due to the excellent value for money that you find with Jet2.

From Palma Airport, we set off in a private taxi transfer (all part of the service from Jet2) to Hotel Es Port in Port de Sóller.

What a wonderful hotel indeed!

The original building set in hectares of beautiful landscaped gardens was once a farm and gentry residence dating back to 1646 and became a luxury hotel in 1959. It boasts what was once the only outdoor swimming pool in Mallorca is classed as "semi-Olympic".

The rooms here are splendid and we had chosen a Junior Suite which was mind-blowing when we first discovered it.

On a half board basis, we got to sample a superb breakfast covering most of the possibilities you can think of as well an excellent evening dinner comprising a whole variety of starters, a choice of main course and then a huge array of sweets.

Only the hardiest of souls could dine here on a diet!

The staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you too.

We will have to go home soon but we really do not want to.

In the meantime, we are compiling a presentation that looks at the cute little trams of Sóller that link the town with Port de Sóller and the "orange express" trains that run from Sóller to the island's capital in Palma.
