Rachele Mussolini, the granddaughter of the former dictator of Italy Benito Mussolini, has resigned from Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's Brothers of Italy party because it was too right-wing. Joining the Forza Italia, Rachele Mussolini said it was time to join a party closer to her moderate and centrist sensibilities. Mussolini had a fallout with the Brothers of Italy over the rights of minorities. The Brothers of Italy traces its roots to the neo-fascist group Italian Social Movement, which was set by supporters of Benito Mussolini's regime and former high-ranking members of his fascist party.
