Getting the best interest rate on the home you are buying is not really that hard if you know what to do.

Call up a few different mortgage lenders on the same day and get the exact same quote from all of them. Choose the lender you like the best and if they do not have the overall best net pricing than send them the good faith estimates of the other mortgage lenders and ask them if they can meet or beat all the other lenders.

This should give you the best loan officer and the best interest rate 90% of the time.
