THE THIN BLUE LINE : UK TV SERIES : Cast Then And Now 2020.
Set in the English town of Gasforth, Inspector Fowler's (played by Rowan Atkinson) police station is - as far as he's concerned - the last bastion of law and order. Fowler takes his job much too seriously, and so also, in a very different way, does his opposite number Inspector Grim (played by David Haig) of the plain clothes division.
The tension between both of them is the main thrust of the stories, as both their teams of fairly incompetent officers proceed to muck things up in adventures that range from trying to celebrate the Queen’s birthday to road protesters.
