Recommended Lenses for Sports/Action in Bright Sunlight:
Sony 55-210mm f/4.5-6.3 OSS - https://amzn.to/2CjjRoj
Sony 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 OSS - https://amzn.to/2S8Scfo

Recommended Lenses for Sports/Action in Low Light:
Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8 with a MC-11 adapter (https://bhpho.to/2xk6uTZ / https://bhpho.to/2EzpT6v)
Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 OSS - https://amzn.to/2R3tnUw

The Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8 can be adapted to the Sony a6000 with the help of a Sigma MC-11 adapter. This is the most "affordable" setup for low light sports/action and is best used for close range sports like basketball and volleyball. For low light sports at a distance, the Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 would be the best choice.

Settings for Sports:
1) Shutter Priority Mode (S)

4) Focus Mode set to AF-C
5) Focus Area set to Zone
6) Metering set to Multi
7) White Balance set to Auto
8) Drive Mode set to Continuous Shooting: Hi

In this tutorial, I show you my favorite in-camera settings for sports outdoors during the day on the Sony a6000. These settings will allow you to freeze fast action and come away with a sharp shot.
