Amtrak F40PH Locomotives - Where are they now?

Описание к видео Amtrak F40PH Locomotives - Where are they now?

The F40PH diesel-electric locomotive was the mainstay of Amtrak's long distance and corridor train motive power fleet for nearly two decades. With the last F40s withdrawn from service in 2002, what happened to the locomotives that were not recycled for scrap? In this video, I will go through every single Amtrak F40PH locomotive I have seen since their retirement and take a look at their post-Amtrak locomotive career. We will be discussing units that made it into preservation as well as those sold to other railroads. In addition, we will go through the roster of locomotives that Amtrak retained for conversion into cab control cars.
