The European Medicines Agency (EMA) started a review of medicines containing finasteride and dutasteride following concerns regarding certain negative thoughts and behaviours. EMA will then issue a recommendation on whether the these medicines should be maintained, varied, suspended or withdrawn across the European Union. The prodcedure started in October 2024 and will end in February 2025. In this video we will also talk about what causes male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) and discuss the side effects stated in Propecia's (finasteride) and Avodart's (dutasteride) current package leaflets in the European Union.
