Описание к видео A Native Perspective on the Newark Earthworks | John Low | TEDxOhioStateUniversity

2000 years ago, Indigenous peoples built an engineering marvel of earthworks and mounds called the Newark Earthworks on land now considered part of Ohio, but this marvel is now covered by a country club. Dr. John Low will be presenting his Native perspective on the Earthworks and sharing why Native perspectives are important when discussing these monuments. Dr. Low is a citizen of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi, associate professor at the Ohio State University, and Director of the Newark Earthworks Center. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
