Webinar: CBD and Autoimmune Disease

March is observed as Autoimmune Awareness Month, to build awareness and understanding of the more than 100 identified autoimmune diseases that affect an estimated 50 million people in the U.S. alone.



Cannabinoid research for autoimmune diseases continues to grow due to their immunomodulating traits. The endocannabinoid system is a possible target for the treatment of conditions characterized by immune cell activation, such as inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.


To kick off Autoimmune Awareness Month, Realm of Caring is honored to host a webinar with special guests Dr. Swathi Varanasi and Dr. David Bilstrom. The combined expertise of Dr. Varanasi and Dr. Bilstrom will help us deepen our understanding of integrative approaches to autoimmune diseases while focusing on how CBD may help in the healing journey. David Bilstrom, M.D. is a fellow of the American Academy of Integrative Medicine and American Academy of Medical Acupuncture as well as an advanced fellow in anti-aging, regenerative, and functional medicine. He serves as the Director of the International Autoimmune Institute and the Bingham Memorial Center for Functional Medicine.
